Major supermarket Aldi has announced plans to open a raft a new stores over the coming months, including two new sites across Greater Manchester.
Aldi said it will open 24 new stores across the UK by Christmas, after announcing fresh investments for the business earlier this week.
As part of the plans, Aldi has revealed it will be opening new stores in two Greater Manchester locations – Orrell and Hattersley.

Giles Hurley, Chief Executive Officer for Aldi UK and Ireland, added: “We’re working hard to make good food more affordable for every family – cutting prices on everyday essentials, signing long-term supplier agreements to help increase home-grown production, and continuing to bring affordable groceries to even more communities through our store opening programme.
“This is why more customers are buying more products at Aldi – our relentless focus on simple, everyday low prices and award-winning quality.”
The supermarket also revealed it will relocating its Wigan store by the end of the year, alongside sites in Sudbury and Sutton Coldfield.
