
Scottish councils have been found to distribute some of the most expensive parking fines in the UK, according to data from a Freedom of Information (FOI) request submitted by Access Self Storage to local councils. The company asked 429 councils how many parking fines were issued from 1 January to 31 July 2020, and received responses from 250. In total, 3,094,829 tickets were issued during this period, amounting to a total fine of £112,7611,254.95. These are the 10 councils that have the highest average parking ticket costs in the UK.
