Official figures from NHS England now reveal how many people have been vaccinated in neighbourhoods across the country.
Here are the areas of Wigan showing the number and percentage of people who received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine between 8th December 2020 and 21st February 2021, broken down into Under 70s and Over 70s.
In December the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) advised that care home residents should be prioritised for a vaccine to prevent further deaths, followed by over 80s, over 75s and then over 70s. This was alongside healthcare staff.
