Eight new branches of bargain store B&M opening in the coming months – including one in Wigan.
The discount retailer is also relaunching a further three sites across the UK. A new shop will open its doors in Wigan on September 29. The first wave of shops include Reading opening on August 28 – this will be a relocation of its nearby Rose Kiln Lane store, which will shut on August 19, reports the Mirror.
B&M then plans on opening new sites in Irving, Scotland, on August 12, and Southport on August 16, followed by the reopening of its refurbished Glasgow store on August 26. After this, new stores will open in Stockton and Eastbourne on September 14, while its existing site in Leven will open a garden centre on September 20.

B&M will then open a new shop in Hinkley on September 23 and in Newbury on October 7, before its relaunched Gateshead branch welcomes customers from October 28. So far this year the chain shut eight of its stores.
Not all have closed for good though, with some being relocated to bigger sites. Back in May, B&M announced plans to open 30 new stores in the UK over the next year, including relocations of older sites.
The bargain retailer currently has over 660 stores and has a long-term target of 950 sites. B&M opened 21 new stores in the last financial year, including five relocations and 12 new garden centres.
